Review: Rimmel Magnifeyes Eye Palette

Over the past few years I have developed strong love for drugstore makeup. Honestly, there are certain items that I wouldn't buy from the affordable makeup section; foundations are one of them as the shade range is always limited. However, when it comes to eye shadow palettes the choices are endless and quality-wise they are as good as high-end. Today's pick is about the all new Rimmel Magnif'eyes palette, so keep on reading to find out more!
Disclaimer: The palette was kindly sent to me by Rimmel but all opinions are my own.

Packaging:
The shadows come in a plastic black compact - quite common with affordable brands. The cover has a transparent strip revealing the shades inside the palette. Size is handy for travel or to grab on the go, but unfortunately it does not contain a mirror.

Product/Experience:
Rimmel has introduced three different palette to suit everyone's taste; mine is "Keep Calm and Wear Gold" which has eight brown/gold neutral shades. There are three cool-toned matte to help define and sculpt the eyes while the remaining five are shimmery for a pop of sparkle. The formula of these shadows is buttery smooth for a seamless blending process. Pigmentation-wise the shadows are subtle and buildable, so you can easily customise the intensity of your looks. Moreover, are quite long lasting as they stayed on the entire day without fading or creasing. On the other hand, I have noticed some fall out, especially with the shimmery shades - so tapping off your brush or mixing the shadows with makeup setting spray is highly recommended. I have received many compliments on my eye shadow during the past couple of weeks, thanks to this little gem!

Overall opinion:
I'm highly impressed by the Magnifeyes palettes as the quality of the shadows are excellent. Whether you like natural or glamorous, this palette won't fail to deliver these looks. I'm very curious to try the other two palettes : London Nudes (pink hues) and Grunge Glamour (grey hues). Highly recommend trying out these shadows if you're on the hunt for an affordable eye palette.
