Review: MaxFactor Miracle Touch Primer and Foundation

When it comes to base products I'm always on the hunt for ones that will perfect my skin without being too fussy. I have tried most types of foundations from liquid, powder, stick to cushion but cream format was never down my alley. Maxfactor has recently released the new Miracle Touch Cream foundation along with a smoothing primer and knowing the quality of their makeup I was excited to give these a try.
Disclaimer: The products were kindly sent to me by Maxfactor by all opinions are my own.

Smooth Miracle Primer:
The product comes in a plastic transparent bottle with a pump dispenser, couldn't get any better! It's lightweight, handy for traveling and shows how much product is left inside the bottle. It claims instantly smoothing the appearance of skin and creating a layer between moisturiser and foundation to protect the skin. The formula looks like a normal moisturiser with a very mild scent that isn't offensive or overpowering. My first observations were as follow:
- Blends easily and does not leave a white cast.
- Did not irritate my skin.
- Does not make the skin look greasy, instead it gives a nice glow.
- Instantly smoothes the skin and solves any texture issues.
- Helps the foundation to glide on easily and adhere better to the skin.
Even though it wasn't designed to make foundations last longer, mine stayed on all day without fading or separating. The primer is suitable for all skin types including sensitive as the formula is oil free and does not irritate the skin. I'm impressed by the benefits of this primer and highly recommend it for anyone with uneven skin texture.

Miracle Touch Compact Foundation (Shade; Blushing Beige):
It comes in a compact with a sponge applicator concealed in the lid. The packaging is lightweight, small in size and very handy for traveling or touching up on the go. It claims having a solid to liquid formula that glides on the skin easily for a miraculous smooth finish. This comes in 12 different shades which is amazing considering that drugstore options are usually limited. Also, it is supposed to provide full coverage and compliment the smoothing primer. My observations were as follow:
- The foundation instantly melts on the skin and glides on easily.
- Provides a dewy, smooth, natural and skin-like finish.
- The sponge applicator is good enough to apply the foundation evenly, no need to use a brush!
- Coverage is light to medium, pairing it with concealer is recommended for problematic skin.
- Did not cause any breakouts, but not recommended to people with very oily skin.
- Transfers a little, so using a very light dust of translucent powder will solve this issue.
- Stays on for at least 4-5 hours without fading or separating.
This has been my go-to foundation recently as it saves time and can easily be kept in my hand bag. Highly recommend it if you are on the hunt for a quick and easily foundation that will truly transform your skin.

Overall opinion:
Maxfactor products has never let me down till date whether its their base products, eye shadows, mascaras or even lipsticks. These products has been sitting on my vanity for the past week or so and will probably stay there for a while. If you're on the hunt for new base products that looks good and won't break the bank then look this way!
