Review: Bye Bye Under Eye Concealer by IT Cosmetics

Okay, I'm not sure from where to start but as you might have noticed - my life has been crazy busy recently and I haven't had the time to blog much. However, I'm back with a quick review of a product that I have been eyeing for ages and finally got the chance to test out. I'm talking about the IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye concealer, which was a "Nikki Tutorials made me do it" type of purchase and I have always been impressed by how it made her under eyes look!

This was my first purchase ever for IT Cosmetics, it was bought from my own money and all opinions are my own. Also, I will try to make this review short and sweet because no one wants to read an essay about just one product! (I feel ya!)

Let me give you a very short brief on IT Cosmetics as a brand. The brand has been developed alongside plastic surgeons to come up with innovative and problem solving makeup formulas. The cutting edge formulas are supposed to be gentle on the skin and provide anti-ageing benefits at the same time. Also, all IT Cosmetics  products are cruelty free and hasn't been tested on animals, which is always a plus point for any brand.

The concealer comes it a squeezy tube with a very thin nozzle at the end, which allows you to control the amount of products dispensed. The tube is quite slim and secure so it's very handy for travel or to keep in your handbag. I found it a little difficult to squeeze out product from the tube sometimes, not sure if my tube is faulty or that's just the nature of the packaging. However, it's better to dispense small amounts than pouring out too much and not being able to use it.

As mentioned earlier, I was drawn to buy this concealer after I saw Nikki Tutorials raving about it in most of her videos. The product is supposed to be extremely pigmented and cover almost everything. Also, It's packed full of vitamins, antioxidants and Hyaluronic acid that will make your skin look younger. As you might know, I suffer from annoying dark circles under my eyes so I had high hopes for this concealer. First of all, the formula is quite thick and not as runny as liquid concealers. I tried applying it with a brush but it was going a little streaky so I used the warmth of my fingers to blend it instead. It definitely blended better using my fingers but I found this quite messy because I like using a brush to apply concealers. I haven't tried using a wet sponge with this concealer, but this can be another alternative for thick formulas and if you like using sponges. The shade range is not huge comparing to other brands, it comes in only 6 shades so you have to be careful when choosing your shade. I bought mine in the shade medium, which was almost the same as my skin tone but if you like a more highlighted effect - you might want to go a shade lighter. The concealer does provide a decent coverage, I would say a medium to full coverage and you only need the tiniest amount. I recommend setting the concealer with powder to set in place because the formula seems to crease if you don't set it properly. Also, it seemed to stay on all day even though it doesn't say anywhere that the formula is long wearing or waterproof. However, there is a waterproof version of this concealer if you have very oily skin.

Overall opinion:
The Bye Bye Under Eye is a decent concealer with good coverage, but I wish the formula was a tad more liquidy so I can blend it with a brush. This tube will probably last me for a very long time, which is a good thing but I don't see myself repurchasing this product again. However, If you don't mind the thick consistency and looking for a full coverage concealer - the you might want to check this one out.

Note: Bye Bye Under Eye concealer is priced at $24 on
