Review: Color Pop No Filter Concealer

I often get asked about the makeup product I would take with my on a deserted island and the answer is always the same - concealer! As someone who always suffered from dark circles, concealer has been my go-to product that I use on daily basis as under eye is my only problem area, so I can literally skip foundation and just dot concealer on that area. That being said, the search for the perfect concealer has been going on for a while and I have recently stumbled upon the 'No Filter' concealer by Colour Pop, or let's just say I heard many YouTubers raving about it and had to try it!

As you might know, there have been a lot of hype about concealers like 'Shape Tape' by Tarte and if you live in Dubai, you probably know it's almost impossible to get it here - as it's not available in Sephora and super difficult to find in stock online. So, maybe YouTubers recommended using the Colour Pop concealer as its supposed to be the ultimate dupe for 'Shape Tape' but it retails for half the price - if not less! Thus, I bought the 'No Filter' and have been using it for over a month now and in today's review you will know my full opinion about it. Also, this was my first ever product to try from Colour Pop so I was super excited about that!

Disclaimer: This review is not sponsored - the product has been bought from my own money and all opinions are my own.

The concealer comes in a plastic transparent tube and it has a doe foot applicator. I love the simplicity of the packaging and how you can see the amount of product left inside. Also, the name of the concealer is written in a holographic font, which I feel gives the packaging a modern touch.

First of all, when I knew that this concealer comes in 30 shades - I was totally blown away as some high end brand don't even offer the same variety of colours! I did find it quite hard to choose my shade because I was buying the product online, but I find it helpful to look for video swatches or just search for swatches on Google images and this should help you get the closest match. I went for the shade "Light 20" and it was a tad lighter than my skin tone (maybe half a shade), but nothing too crazy as I hate it when someone applies a concealer that's 3-4 shades lighter! The consistency is super creamy and lightweight like a serum - so this makes the blending process a breeze and the product does not get streaky or feel cakey. The coverage of this concealer is medium to full and you can always build it up. I always set my concealers with a powder and I have been doing the same with this concealer - this helps it stay in place all day and prevents any creasing. Also, I love that this concealer does not oxidise, unlike other drugstore products that change colour after a while. Also, this does not separate or crack even after wearing it for long hours - so thumbs up for that. This looks just as good on blemishes and pimples around the face and covers any redness or darkness perfectly.

Overall opinion:
I'm highly impressed by this concealer and already thinking of buying a few tubes just to make sure I won't run out of it! This product is definitely value for money as it gives great coverage and the price is super inexpensive. I highly recommend this concealer if you're on the hunt for a dupe to high end concealers as this will work just as good.

Note: The 'No Filter' concealer by Colour Pop is priced at AED 42 on
