Review: Soap & Glory Haircare Products

I'm not sure how many haircare ranges I've used across 2019, but let's just say I was on a race over the past few months. I've recently been introduced to the haircare range by Soap & Glory, I've been using the products almost every time I wash my hair and I feel like I'm in a place to share with you the hits and misses. So, if you're interested to find out more about this range then please keep on reading and promise I'll try to keep this short and sweet!

Disclaimer: The products were kindly sent to me by the Soap & Glory PR team, but all the opinions are my own.

S&G Smoothing Shampoo and Conditioner:
This range is designed for dry and frizzy hair to make it smoother and softer. The shampoo and conditioner are infused with Shea Butter and Marula oil to soften and make the hair easy to manage. The first thing I noticed about both products is the uplifting scent of hazelnut and vanilla, which makes the process of washing your hair more fun and delicious. The shampoo is rich but lightweight at the same time, so it leaves your hair and scalp feeling clean and nourished. While the conditioner instantly smoothes hair without leaving behind a greasy feeling or weighing down the hair. With that in mind, I think it might be a little rich for people with oily hair and I would only recommend for dry hair issues.

S&G Split Happens Hair Oil:
This oil is designed to be used as a pre-styling product or as a finishing touch after styling. Personally, I never use oils before styling my hair as I feel like they weigh the hair down and make it a little greasy and difficult to style. So, I have been using 2-3 drops of this oil after I've already straightened or curled my hair, just to give the ends of my hair more shine and reduce frizz. This is also perfect for fly aways and baby hairs - but I repeat, only a couple of drops will do the job, so please don't go to town with it!

S&G Control Sleek Hair Smoothing Cream:
This is an interesting products and I love the theory behind it. It's a smoothing cream that you apply prior to styling your hair and it's supposed to reduce the frizz for up to 8 washes. The product works like magic and it did make my hair less frizzy for a few washes, however the smell of this product is super unflattering and it put me off using it again. I tried spraying a perfume and another hair spray from S&G, which I'll talk about in a second. But the scent was always re-surfacing again up until I washed my hair. So, I probably won't re-purchase the product for this reason but if you're not sensitive to strong scents, then by all means!

S&G Fresh Hair Supply:
This was probably my favourite product of the range as it makes your hair smell great and give it shine at the same time. The product is infused with Argan oil and Marula oil, so it will help make your hair look, feel and smell great. I like applying this product right after I style my hair for the shine before heading out from the house to make my hair smell good.

Overall opinion:
I'm highly impressed by the haircare range from Soap & Glory, as the majority of the products performed really well and made my hair look and feel great. I would totally repurchase the range and gift to my loved ones, as the packaging is also one of the brand's USPs. The only product I wouldn't re-purchase is the control sleek, mainly for the strong scent, but I really do hope the brand will re-formulate this product and add a more flattering scent.

Note: You can find the Soap and Glory haircare range at all Boots Pharmacies across GCC.
